Powers decreed to Crown Prince – Well-wishers call

KUWAIT CITY, July 19, (Agencies): The Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah announced Saturday that an Amiri order has been issued to seek the assistance of His Highness the Crown Prince to temporarily exercise some of the Amir’s constitutional powers, following the hospitalization of HH the Amir for routine medical examination, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In this context, HH the Amir received two phone calls from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Amir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad.

During the phone calls King Salman and Sheikh Tamim wished HH the Amir continued health and wellness. His Highness expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to his two brothers, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Amir of Qatar, for the kind sentiments brotherly initiatives that embody the depth of the bonds of historical ties between Kuwait and their two countries and two brotherly peoples, wishing them good health and wellness.

Successful surgery
His Highness the Amir, meanwhile, underwent “successful” surgery Sunday morning, Minister of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al- Sabah said. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow His Highness the Amir with rapid recovery and wellbeing. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Sunday a phone call from Bahraini Crown Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, inquiring about health of His Highness the Amir and wishing him everlasting good health. His Highness the Crown Prince expressed deep gratitude to his Bahraini counterpart, thanking him for the sincere and gracious sentiments.

His Highness the Crown Prince also received a phone call from President Barham Saleh, of sisterly Iraq, who got reassured about the health of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait. The Iraqi President wished His Highness the Amir good health and wellbeing. His Highness the Crown Prince thanked the Iraqi leader for his sincere sentiments. His Highness the Crown Prince furthermore received on Saturday a phone call from Ammar Al-Halim, leader of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement, who got reassured about the health of His Highness the Amir.

The senior Iraqi politician wished His Highness the Amir good health and wellbeing. His Highness the Crown Prince thanked Al-Halim for his sincere sentiments and expressed best wishes for him and sisterly Iraq. His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al- Hamad received a phone call on Sunday from Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhemi inquiring about wellbeing of His Highness the Amir wishing him everlasting good health. His Highness the Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation to the Iraqi counterpart on the gracious sentiments, affirming that bilateral relations would remain solid. His Highness the Crown Prince received a phone call, Sunday, from Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al- Kadhemi who was inquiring about the health of His Highness the Amir.

His Highness the Crown Prince thanked the Iraqi leader for his sincere sentiment towards His Highness the Amir. His Highness the Crown Prince also received a call from former Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Nouri Al- Maliki who was inquiring about the health of His Highness the Amir. His Highness the Crown Prince thanked Al-Maliki for his sincere sentiments towards His Highness the Amir.
