Amir sponsors cadet oath

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: The latest batch of Kuwaiti cadets were commissioned as officers during a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, sponsored and attended by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Addressing the teeming crowd of officials from across Kuwait’s political spectrum, the assistant superintendent of the Ali Al-Sabah military academy thanked His Highness the Amir for sponsoring this event on a yearly basis. The newly-graduated officers will sacrifice their lives in defense of the nation, he said, pointing out that amid these tumultuous times, meticulous preparation from a military standpoint is crucial.

He said the officers, who can now reap the benefits of their tireless and diligent work, have an obligation to protect the nation from all perils that threaten its security. He went on to wish the country persistent development and prosperity, under the leadership of His Highness the Amir. (KUNA)
