Afghani held for entering Kuwait illegally

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: Security operatives from Farwaniya Directorate apprehended an Afghani expatriate for entering the country illegally, says Al- Seyassah. A security source said the Afghani man aroused suspicion of the officers in Farwaniya area and he was asked to show his civil ID, which he didn’t have. The officers conducted precautionary check but found no fingerprint details in the system. He later confessed entering the country illegally through the sea, and they referred him to the concerned authority.

50 citations issued: The Capital Traffic Department carried out a campaign to track down those violating traffic laws, resulting in the issuance of citations to 50 motorists who stopped in no-stopping areas. According to a traffic report, the Traffic Sector launched the campaign near the ministerial complex and other government departments. The report affirmed that such campaigns will continue in all governorates in a bid to curb traffic violations.

Wanted for debts: A total of seven individuals including a Kuwaiti woman were arrested in Farwaniya area for nonpayment of debts ranging from KD 1,000 to KD 10,000, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen conducted investigations to find these seven individuals against who cases were filed by companies, bank and individuals for nonpayment of debts.
