Activation of Shiite Personal Status Act meant to crush terrorism

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: Rapporteur of the Legislative Committee at National Assembly MP Khalid Al- Shatti disclosed that the Shiite Personal Status Act has been activated after publishing it in the Official Gazette, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a chat with the daily, Al-Shatti pointed out that the law is a step towards crushing backwardness and terrorism through fruitful cooperation between the Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary.

Meanwhile, Al-Shatti asked the Minister of Health Dr Sheikh Bassel Al-Sabah about the regulations in place to check the attitude of staff in the medical facilities, and if any, he requested a copy of such regulations – shedding light on ways to minimize infection in the hospitals.

He also requested the minister to provide a recent report about the level of commitment of the medical crew, their assistants and cleaning workers to the regulations on minimizing infection
