KUWAIT CITY, June 28: The Ministry of Health has awarded a tender to the second lowest bidder for the supply of 79 ambulances. The contract is worth 6.4 million dinars, reports Al-Anba daily. Reliable sources said the Central Tenders Committee (CTC) has the approval of the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT), and that the signing of the contract will be ‘soon’, and that the ambulances will be distributed to various health areas. The same sources stated the ambulances will be equipped with all the materials and supplies to needed by the patients in case of emergencies. The vehicles are expected to be pressed into service immediately after they are handed over to the ministry.
