586 recover from coronavirus; 319 new infection

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: Kuwait recorded 319 new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours to up the total to 142,195, while 1 death pushed its death toll from the outbreak to 875, the health ministry said.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 5,431, with 77 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry Spokesman Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that some 4,242 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,086,669 so far.

The ministry had earlier reported that some 586 people had recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 135889.

The spokesman went on to urge citizens and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus. (KUNA)
