KUWAIT CITY, Mar 21: The Director of Municipality of Al-Jahra Governorate, Fahd Al-Quraifa stated that the Municipality has removed 521 camps in Bar Al-Jahra and Al-Ahmadi after legal date of removal of camps was published.

Al-Quraifa stated that the supervisory teams tasked to remove spring camps for the season (2019/2020) in Al-Jahra and Al-Ahmadi governorates began their work after informing the owners of the spring camps as soon as the municipality announced the end of the camping period on March 15. Total of 641 warning labels were put on various camps that did not adhere to the notice.

He mentioned that 209 desert bikes and 9 mobile groceries were lifted and seized, 1,300 entertainment games and water sprinklers were confiscated and 40 adverts were removed, in addition 9 café in camp areas were closed, noting that these measures taken by the municipality which come within the framework of preventing gatherings in order to protect the safety of citizens and expats and to avoid spread Corona Virus (Covid-19).
