460 juveniles to face court

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: The Ministry of Interior referred about 460 juveniles to the Juvenile Prosecution Office for driving vehicles without a license within 60 days, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting a source from the security sector.

According to the security source, referring these adolescents to the prosecution and then to the court could be precedent in their criminal records; hence, the need to raise their awareness on the repercussions of driving without a license. The source pointed out that the rising number of adolescents driving vehicles without a license endangers the lives of road users, indicating the parents or guardians will shoulder the responsibility under such circumstances. He urged the parents and guardians to refrain from giving vehicles to their children to avoid legal problems.
