4,400 citations issued, 207 vehicles, bikes confiscated

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: The General Traffic Department led by Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs, Major General Fahd Al-Showiah, organized a security campaign in all the governorates to instill traffic discipline and arrest violators of the traffic law, reports Al-Anba daily.

The campaign resulted in the issuance of 4,411 traffic citations for various reasons, and seizure of 207 vehicles and motorcycles. During the campaign seven minors were arrested for driving without licence and referred to the concerned authorities. The General Directorate of Public Relations and Security Information said such traffic campaigns will to protect the road users and public and private property
