43 arrested in crackdown on crime

KUWAIT CITY, July 13: The Security Sector of the Ministry of Interior and the General Traffic Department organized joint security campaigns last week and arrested many violators and people wanted by law and issued citations to scores of motorists for committing traffic violations, reports Al-Anba daily. The campaigns led to the arrest of 43 people, five drug addicts and impounded 12 vehicles which were reported stolen.

One person was arrested for harboring a compatriot who had entered the country illegally, in addition to dealing with two murders, three fights and three deaths. On the traffic front, the efforts of the emergency police patrols led to the issuance of 826 traffic citations for reasons including two for parking in places reserved for people with disability and dealt with 96 traffic accidents and impounded one vehicle.
