KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: As part of the war on corruption and its purification, the Ministry of Interior caught red-handed a member of Municipal Council, reports Al-Rai daily. Security sources told the daily that “the operation was carried out after intensive investigations and close monitoring, and resulted in the arrest of 3 suspects – a member of the municipal council, a well-known businessman and a mediator who works in the council.
The sources stated that “the case relates to a plot of land, and a request to register it in the name of a major company following which the accused have been detained and referred to the prosecution, in preparation for taking necessary legal measures,” she said.
