3 dead, 5 injured critically in traffic accident

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: Tuesday evening, 3 people died and 5 others were injured, as a result of a traffic accident on the Jahra Road towards Kuwait City opposite the Jahra Governorate building, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, after the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report on the incident, police and paramedics rushed to the spot and found one of the vehicles (truck filled with sand) involved in the mishap had overturned and come to rest on one of the cars.

Firefighting teams from the Sulaibikhat and Tahrir centers rushed to the site and rescued two people who were trapped inside two vehicles by cutting through the metal. The dead included two men and a girl. The injured, who were rushed to the Jahra Hospital, are listed as in critical condition. The remains of the three victims have been referred to Forensics. The daily added, traffic was blocked for several hours as a result of the deadly mishap.
