3 armymen among five held for assaulting police officers

KUWAIT CITY, May 30: Three military officers, a student and an unemployed man were arrested for assaulting police officers in Al-Oyoun area in order to help their friend, who is wanted by law, escape.

According to security sources, few hours after the incident occurred, a video clip of that incident went viral on social media. This, as well as the details provided by the injured police officers, helped securitymen in identifying their assailants. All suspects including the wanted individual were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

2 held for drugs: The Ahmadi police have arrested two drugs addicts and seized from them 17 drug pills, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added the men were arrested in Riqqa for violating a traffic law and while issuing citation the officer discovered the man behind the wheel and the man in the passenger seat were abnormal. They were also allegedly driving a stolen car. They have been handed over to the concerned authority.
