‘Reveal mystery’: Secretary General of the Workers Union at Ministry of Electricity and Water Nawaf Bo Yabes called for relevant authorities to reveal the mystery surrounding the drowning of a laborer who worked for a contracting company to ensure that the contractor abided by safety rules, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Bo Yabes said it’s not the first incident of its kind, which reveals that some contracting companies commit many violations and aren’t qualified. He also said the ministry has been requested to review its contracts with companies that violate security and safety of laborers, and the Workers Union follows up investigations with keenness in order to know the circumstances of the laborer’s death to avoid repetition of similar incidents in future.
