21 Syrians caught begging in Al-Rai will be ‘deported’

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: Farwaniya securitymen arrested 21 Syrians who were caught begging and annoying passersby in Al-Rai area, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, deportation procedures are being taken against the suspects and they will be deported following the completion of these procedures. Reportedly, securitymen noticed a number of youths who were begging and annoying shopkeepers and customers in the markets of Al-Rai area.

They asked for backup support and then managed to arrest 21 of these youths who were discovered to be Syrians. They were referred to Andalous Police Station after which they will be transferred to the Residency Investigations Department for necessary legal procedures prior to their deportation.

Two hurt in fight: Two Kuwaiti citizens sustained various degrees of injuries in a fight with two other compatriots in Al-Oyoun area, says Al-Seyassah. Passersby managed to resolve the quarrel and took the injured citizens to a hospital in private cars before the arrival of rescue men. Initial investigation revealed that the fight was due to former dispute. Meanwhile, a Syrian expatriate hit a piece of iron on the head of a Bangladeshi man and rendered him unconscious. He was referred to Farwaniya hospital, and the Syrian was detained in Farwaniya police station.
