KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: Kuwait Municipality announced the closure of 20 café joints and demolition of 16 illegal structures such as tents, sheds and gardens in Capital Governorate during extensive campaigns launched by Capital Emergency Team of closed cabins in Salhiya, Mirqab, Bneid Al-Gar and Coastal Area. The officials discovered some immoral activities taking place in some of the café joints due to which they were closed down based on the directives of Director of Capital Municipality Eng. Saud Al-Enzi.

Funds misappropriated: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched inspection campaigns on 25 companies involved in overseas treatment after significant increase in irregularities in the recent period, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to reliable sources the manipulation in the bills amount to about KD 4.6 million dinars, pointing out that the ministry has asked the files of companies to be sent for inspection to check the financial statements in the context of tightening control pursued by the ministry on the offending companies.
