20 for deportation in Jleeb ‘cleanup’ campaigns

KUWAIT CITY, July 28: The Farwaniya Governorate Security Directorate in cooperation with the Operations Sector of the General Traffic Department organized intensive security campaigns round-the-clock in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and surrounding areas targeting illegal workers, makeshift markets, reports Al-Rai daily.

During the campaign the security authorities are said to have arrested 20 persons including peddlers for committing all types of violations related to foodstuff and health and referred them to the concerned authorities to prepare their deportation from the country.

The Directorate General of Public Relations and Security Information at the Ministry of Interior said the security campaigns are ongoing on a daily basis 24/7 in the area.

The department added, last Friday the campaign at dawn targeted Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Hassawi and Abbasiya. In other news, the daily said the Ahmadi Security Directorate organized a similar campaign in Mina Abdulla to fl ush out gamblers, drug addicts and consumers of alcohol.
