2.3 mln cars on roads; 1.5mn licenses issued

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: The Assistant Undersecretary for the Traffic sector, Major-General Jamal Al-Sayegh said the total number valid driving licenses issued to Kuwaitis and residents is 1,529,389, and that the total number of vehicles running on the country’s streets is 2,286,758, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Sayegh told the daily the General Traffic Department (GTD) receives 324 visitors every Tuesday in implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry Lieutenant- General Issam Al-Naham. During this time the transactions which meet the conditions are processed while those that do not meet the conditions or are incomplete are rejected.
