KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: The Ministry of Education intends to notify around 1,800 expatriate teachers about the termination of their services on Feb 5, reports Al- Anba daily quoting sources. Sources affirmed this will give the concerned teachers enough time to prepare for the termination, which will take effect by the end of the current academic year.

Source added the ministry is keen on implementing the Kuwaitization policy in educational institutions, especially for subjects in which there are sufficient teachers among the Kuwaitis or those born to Kuwaiti women who are married to non-Kuwaitis. Two days ago, the ministry announced its plan to recruit Kuwaitis, those born to Kuwaiti women who are married to non-Kuwaitis, Bedouns and citizens of other Gulf Cooperation Council countries as per the Kuwaitization policy.
