13 auctions shut

KUWAIT CITY, June 10: Emergency Team of Jahra Municipality shut down 13 unlicensed auctions during a campaign launched against encroachments on state properties in Kabad area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Director of Jahra Municipality Eng. Mohammad Al-Aradi explained in a press release that the campaign coincided with a media campaign titled “Contact Us” launched by the municipality to remove all encroachments on state properties, unlicensed advertisements, hawkers, and use of government properties for purposes besides the licensed purposes as well as to follow up the complaints of the public submitted on social media. He said the municipality had earlier noticed the encroachments on state properties in some areas such as Kabad area which was why the campaign was launched in that area.
