The narcotic pills ‘ecstasy’ seized from the Bangladeshi passenger

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport thwarted an attempt by a Bangladesh national to smuggle 10,000 narcotic pills known in the local market as “ecstasy” and considered the most dangerous illicit drug.

Security sources said the Bangladeshi expatriate was returning from his country via Dubai when he aroused suspicion of customs officers upon arrival to Kuwait airport.

The officers went ahead and conducted thorough search on him and recovered the contraband carefully hidden in a secret compartment inside a box of vegetables. He was referred to concerned authorities for necessary legal measures
