Zain First Division League enters final stage with promotion race heating up

KUWAIT CITY, May 1: The Zain First Division League is approaching its decisive phase as the fourth and final division kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, with two key matchups in Round 16. Al-Jahra will face Al-Shabab at the latter’s home ground at 5:35 pm, while Al-Sulaibikhat takes on Al-Sahel at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium at 8:05 pm. Burgan will sit out this round.

The battle for the two promotion spots to the Premier League has intensified. Al-Jahra currently tops the table with 19 points, closely followed by Burgan with 18. Al-Sulaibikhat and Al-Shabab are tied for third place with 15 points each, while Al-Sahel remains at the bottom with 10 points.

In the previous round, Al-Jahra dropped two crucial points after being held to a 1-1 draw by Al-Sulaibikhat. Burgan capitalized on the opportunity, defeating Al-Sahel 2-0 to narrow the gap at the top.
