Youth Affairs Minister advocates for sports development and integrity

KUWAIT CITY, May 20: Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Hewaila, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, inspected the sectors and departments of the General Sports Authority during her visit yesterday. She was welcomed by Faisal Al-Yateem, Acting Director-General of the Authority, and Hamid Al-Hazeem, Deputy Director-General of the Sports for All Sector and Director of Departments.

During her visit, Dr. Al-Hewaila urged all employees and leaders to intensify their efforts to improve the sports system. She emphasized the importance of facilitating the work of all sports clubs and federations, providing comprehensive support to athletes, and working diligently to implement the vision outlined in the noble speech of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, which set the framework for the government’s future efforts.

Minister Dr. Al-Hewaila highlighted the government’s commitment to transparency and responsiveness, stressing the importance of listening to public feedback to streamline processes, in line with the directives of His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah.

She stated, “It is essential to conduct field follow-ups at work sites to facilitate procedures through inspection tours. This will be a priority in the coming period to accelerate the implementation of development projects, advance digital government services, uphold justice and transparency protect public funds, and combat corruption.”
