KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Yarmouk Club has bolstered its squad by signing Tunisian professional player Hazem Haj Hassan, marking the club’s third foreign acquisition ahead of the upcoming Zain First Division League season.
Haj Hassan, 29, joins Malian Moriba Dialli and Ghanaian Robin Akwa as Yarmouk’s foreign reinforcements. The club is focused on reclaiming its competitive edge through a comprehensive preparation plan and strategic player signings before the league kicks off on September 14.
The newly signed midfielder brings valuable experience, having played for prominent Tunisian clubs Etoile du Sahel and Club Sportif Sfaxien. Over his career with these teams, Haj Hassan has made 124 appearances and scored 19 goals.
Yarmouk also recently signed former Al-Salmiya player Othman Al-Dosari and, under the guidance of Zahir Al-Adwani, aims to further strengthen the squad with quality talent.
In a strategic move, Yarmouk decided not to renew contracts with five of its previous foreign professionals: Mario Pietro (Italy), Ayoub Lakhdar and Habib Dahmani (Morocco), Kayali Kone (Ivory Coast), and Reza Dost (Iran).
