Yara Al-Hunaidi crowned show jumping champion

KUWAIT CITY, March 10: Yara Al-Hunaidi, riding “Valmira,” clinched the championship title at the “Key Tower” show jumping competition held at Hawally Club, organized with the participation of riders from various local clubs. Sponsored by Zain Telecom, KGL, and Kuwait International Bank, the event received support from the Kuwait Equestrian Federation.

In the intense eighth the main heat at a height of 140 cm, Al-Hunaidi secured the first position with an impressive time of 51.21 seconds, without incurring any penalty points. Following closely, Ali Al-Kharafi claimed second and third place, with Fawaz Al-Subaie securing the fourth spot. Noteworthy performances were also delivered by Abdullah Al-Awadi, Hamad Al-Hajri, Ghazi Al-Huraiwi, and Fawaz Rashid. Hamad Al-Musaybih, Director of Corporate Relations at Zain Telecommunications Company, was awarded the champions.

The sixth round, featuring a height of 130 cm, witnessed Ali Al-Kharafi emerging victorious, while the ninth round at 120 cm saw Tala Barakat securing the top spot.

Raghad Al-Dabbous led the tournament’s refereeing committee, with members including Lama Abdel-Al, Dr. Yahya Al-Hadban, and Walid Al-Jassem. The event showcased the prowess of talented riders and exemplified the strong support from various sponsors and the Kuwait Equestrian Federation.
