KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: With deep sadness over the loss of life and basic amenities needed for survival, the World Heart Federation (WHF) joins the global call for aid to reach the millions trapped and suffering in the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. WHF supports our members and partners in the region, as well as those they hold dear. WHF’s mission is to promote cardiovascular health for all. In times of conflict and war, it is crucial to swiftly deploy humanitarian aid to address the medical needs of the injured and those with various conditions who rely on critical medical supplies and treatment. The suffering caused by war is unimaginable and has long-lasting effects. WHF expresses gratitude for the dedication of caregivers who remain committed to their oath of service despite challenging circumstances.

We maintain hope for a resolution to the current crisis. Dr. Rajesh Rajan, a cardiologist at the Sabah Al Ahmad Cardiac Center in Al Amiri Hospital, Kuwait, emphasizes the importance of prioritizing the health and safety of civilians during conflict and war.

He stresses the urgency of swiftly deploying humanitarian aid to address the medical needs of the injured and those suffering from various conditions who depend on critical medical supplies and treatment. Access to healthcare services is vital to ensure the wellbeing of individuals and alleviate their suffering during these challenging times.
