KUWAIT CITY,Oct 3,:The World Bowling Championship kicks off today at the Kuwait Bowling Club Complex, and it will run until October 15th, featuring the participation of approximately 400 players, both male and female, representing 24 men's teams and 12 women's teams.

In the men's competition, the tournament boasts the presence of teams from Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Colombia, Canada, Egypt, and of course, the host nation Kuwait.

On the women's side, the participating teams include those from Korea, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Denmark, Germany, Colombia, Canada, and Kuwait.

Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, the President of the International and Asian Bowling Federations and Chairman of the Championship Organizing Committee, expressed readiness to host this global sporting event. He emphasized that the club complex is in prime condition to welcome the world's top bowlers.

Sheikh Talal also noted that the participating teams have been arriving in Kuwait gradually, starting their training sessions in the complex's facilities to prepare for the tournament's commencement. Anticipation is high, as the championship is expected to feature fierce competition with the presence of renowned players from around the world. He extended a warm welcome to all participating sports delegations to Kuwait.

Furthermore, he highlighted that hosting this significant international sports event in Kuwait will firmly establish Kuwaiti bowling on the global sports stage and showcase the nation's civilized image. The tournament's activities will be broadcast on international channels across various continents.

Sheikh Talal revealed that both the male and female players of the Kuwaiti national team are well-prepared for the tournament, having completed their training and preparations. Their participation in the World Bowling Championship is seen as a valuable opportunity to gain crucial experience, particularly as the national team includes promising male and female talents.
