Workers who choose transfer will retain ‘job designations’: Al-Naki

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 9: Director General of Public Authority for Roads and Transportation Eng Saud Al-Naki has assured that all employees who chose to be transferred to the authority will retain their full job designations and benefits from their current authorities in addition to being given more opportunities to work in companies that will be established, reports Al Rai daily.

In an interview with the daily, Al-Naki affirmed that the authority has completed forming its own organizational structure which has been submitted to the Civil Service Commission for approval in the coming weeks. He said all concerned authorities did not oppose this in the meetings of Public Services Committee and the previous meetings of the Council of Ministers except for Ministry of Interior which had a different opinion, due to which the matter was referred to the Fatwa and Legislation Department for its viewpoint.

Meanwhile, Authorities in charge of Sheikh Jaber Causeway project are currently studying the types of services which will be provided to those who will use the causeway taking into consideration its location and the long distance, reports Al-Shahed daily.

The services expected to be provided by the private sector include car service garages, supermarkets, restaurants and toilets besides many express facilities similar to those found along long bridges in other countries such as King Fahd Causeway which connects Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
