Egyptian assaults woman in office for breaking relationship

KUWAIT CITY, June 1: An unidentified Egyptian has been arrested for allegedly going to the workplace of his sister-in-law and assaulting her, reports Al- Rai daily.

The arrest came after the woman filed a complaint with the Hawalli police. When the suspect was arrested, he claimed there was a financial dispute between them.

The victim has submitted a medical report showing bruises and abrasions. She added, the co-workers came to her rescue. During interrogation the man admitted to the charge and said he lost his temper because she failed to return his money, while the woman claimed she does not owe him anything. She told police the man assaulted her because she had broken a relationship with him after the divorce of her husband two years ago.
