KUWAIT CITY, July 31: The Winter Games Club held a special farewell ceremony in honor of Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, Osama Shaltout, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic mission. The event, held the day before yesterday, was attended by the club's president, senior members, and distinguished guests from the Egyptian Embassy.
Ambassador Shaltout expressed heartfelt appreciation for the warm hospitality he received throughout his four-year tenure in Kuwait, which he fondly referred to as his second home. He emphasized that the gathering reflected the strong and enduring bonds of brotherhood and mutual respect that unite the peoples of Egypt and Kuwait.
Highlighting the power of sports as a bridge between nations, Ambassador Shaltout noted that he had witnessed the participation of several Egyptian teams in Arab and international tournaments hosted by the Winter Games Club. He praised the club’s high level of professionalism in organizing these events and fostering regional cooperation through sport.
Club President Fahid Al-Ajmi described the celebration as a symbol of the deep affection Kuwaitis hold for Egypt. He praised Ambassador Shaltout for his dedication and consistent presence at the club’s major tournaments and sporting occasions. Al-Ajmi reaffirmed the club’s commitment to strengthening sports relations between Kuwait and Egypt, particularly in support of young winter sports athletes from both nations.
He concluded by wishing continued progress and prosperity to the Egyptian government and people, and extended his best wishes for the ambassador’s health and future endeavors.
