KUWAIT CITY, May 5: The detention renewal judge decided to extend until May 18 the detention of the citizen accused of the premeditated murder of his wife in the Mutla’a desert. In the last hearing, the accused appeared at the court, facing charges of premeditated murder by deliberate running over, kidnapping the victim through deception, and possession of intoxicants. Lawyer Abdul Mohsen Al-Qattan, representing the victim’s heirs, requested civil compensation of KD 5,001 from the accused and urged that his detention be continued without release.
According to the Public Prosecution, the accused committed the premeditated murder of his wife on March 30, 2025, at the Mutlaa Police Station in Jahra Governorate. Investigations revealed that the accused forcibly entered the victim’s vehicle, drove her to an unknown location, and deliberately ran her over with the intent to kill her.
