KUWAIT CITY, June 14: The Ministry of Interior plans to launch nationwide campaigns to arrest violators of residence and labor laws. The Ministry sources told the daily those who did not take benefit of the amnesty given by the Ministry of Interior to leave the country before April 22 of this year without paying the fines, will be punished, blacklisted and deported to their respective countries. The sources added, the campaigns will begin in all six governorates after the Eid Al-Fitr holidays.According to security estimates there are about 100,000 expatriates who live illegally in the country in addition to those who are violators of the labor law. The security sources said only about 50,000 people have taken advantage of the amnesty.
