KUWAIT CITY, July 3: The Meteorological Department (MD) has forecasted hot and dusty weather conditions throughout the weekend, with nighttime temperatures ranging from hot to very hot. The country is currently influenced by an extension of the Indian monsoon depression, accompanied by a hot air mass and northwesterly winds of moderate to strong intensity, which occasionally carry dust, reduce visibility, and raise sea waves, said meteorologist Al-Ali.
On Thursday, the weather will be hot, with northwesterly winds blowing at light to moderate speeds ranging between 15 and 55 kilometers per hour, causing dusty conditions at times. The maximum temperature is expected to reach between 43 and 45 degrees Celsius. Sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves ranging from 2 to 6 feet.
Thursday night will bring hot to very hot temperatures, with dust gradually settling. Winds will remain northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally stronger along coastal areas, with speeds between 15 and 42 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures will range from 28 to 30 degrees Celsius, while sea waves will be light to moderate, rising between 2 and 6 feet.
Friday's forecast calls for hot and dusty weather, with moderate to active northwesterly winds, occasionally strong, blowing between 20 and 60 kilometers per hour. Some high clouds are expected. Maximum temperatures will again range between 43 and 45 degrees Celsius. The sea will be moderate to rough, with waves between 3 and 6 feet.
Friday night will remain hot to very hot, with dust gradually settling. Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate in speed and active along coastal zones, with speeds between 15 and 50 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius. Sea waves will be moderate to high, between 3 and 6 feet.
On Saturday, conditions will continue to be hot and dusty, with northwesterly winds blowing at moderate to active speeds, sometimes strong, ranging from 20 to 65 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures will be between 42 and 44 degrees Celsius. The sea will be moderate to rough, with waves between 3 and 6 feet.
Saturday night will see hot to very hot temperatures, with dust gradually settling. Northwesterly winds will be light to moderate, sometimes active, blowing between 15 and 50 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures will range between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius. Sea waves will be light to moderate, occasionally reaching heights of 6 feet.
