KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: Kuwait is expected to experience warm weather during the day and mild to cool conditions at night over the coming weekend, the Meteorological Department has said.
Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the country is under the influence of an extension of a high-pressure system from the northwest, bringing relatively hot and dry air. Temperatures are forecast to gradually decrease, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally become active.
Al-Ali said Thursday’s weather will be warm, with northwesterly to variable winds ranging between 8 and 40 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 33 to 35 degrees Celsius. The sea is predicted to be slight to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.
Tonight, the weather will turn mild to cool, with light to moderate northwesterly winds from 8 to 30 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius, and the sea will remain slight to moderate with waves of 1 to 3 feet.
Friday will see warm weather, with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 32 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures will again range between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius. Tomorrow night, conditions will be mild to cool, with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds at 10 to 35 kilometers per hour, and minimum temperatures between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius. The sea is expected to be slight to moderate with waves between 2 and 4 feet.
For Saturday, Al-Ali predicted warm weather with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 35 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius. Saturday night will be mild to cool, with northwesterly winds between 8 and 32 kilometers per hour, some scattered clouds, and minimum temperatures ranging from 15 to 17 degrees Celsius. The sea is forecast to be slight to moderate with waves between 1 and 4 feet.
