Signing of a cooperation agreement between the national ‘Visit Kuwait’ platform and Jazeera Airways.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29 : Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi affirmed on Wednesday that the signing of a cooperation agreement between the national “Visit Kuwait” platform and Jazeera Airways marks a new step toward strengthening Kuwait’s position as a distinguished tourism and cultural destination in the region and the world. In his speech during the signing ceremony, Minister Al-Mutairi said the agreement embodies the integration between the public and private sectors in supporting the goals of New Kuwait Vision 2035, and reflects the forward looking vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

He added that the agreement aligns with the Ministry of Information’s strategic direction to develop the digital tourism communication system, enhance cooperation, and unify promotional efforts under a national umbrella that showcases Kuwait’s civilizational and humanitarian identity. “We believe that developing domestic tourism can only be achieved through genuine partnerships with the private sector based on innovation, shared responsibility, and investment in Kuwait’s unique cultural, historical, and geographic assets,” the minister said. Al-Mutairi stressed that the cooperation with Jazeera Airways highlights the importance of employing technology and digital platforms to facilitate the visitor experience and promote the diverse tourism and cultural events hosted throughout the year in Kuwait. “The success of the tourism ecosystem depends on the integration of roles and joint efforts across all sectors,” he added.

“Every institution can be an active partner in enriching the visitor’s experience in Kuwait - whether through services, events, or creative initiatives that add value and enhance the overall quality of the experience.” He called on all private-sector partners to make use of this national platform and contribute within their fields to building a comprehensive tourism experience that reflects Kuwait’s cultural and humanitarian image. The minister also extended his sincere appreciation to the “Visit Kuwait” team and Jazeera Airways management for their efforts in completing this agreement, describing it as an important milestone in advancing the national tourism sector and strengthening Kuwait’s presence on the regional and international tourism map.

For his part, Jazeera Airways Chairman Marwan Boodai said that this event, which brings together the public and private sectors, reflects the fruitful collaboration between both sides and the outcome of great efforts by the State and the private sector’s positive response. He noted that the agreement represents a practical implementation of the government’s New Kuwait 2035 vision, which aims to diversify the national economy, stimulate overall growth, and enhance Kuwait’s standing on the global tourism map.

Boodai explained that the goal of the agreement is to launch a “Stopover Package” in Kuwait, enabling travelers to stay for several days and explore the country’s heritage and culture - something that was not possible before. He praised the Ministry of Interior’s recent efforts to ease entry procedures and expand visa accessibility, making it easier for visitors to enter the country in accordance with the law. He stressed that tourism is one of the most vital sectors for creating job opportunities, noting that it has become a major economic driver in the Gulf region and an essential contributor to national income. “Statistics show that tourists in the region spend no less than USD 2,500 per visit, a significant figure that benefits the local economy,” he said, urging Kuwaiti youth to explore job and investment opportunities in tourism, aviation, hospitality, and related services.

Boodai praised the “Visit Kuwait” platform as a major national project brought to life by the dedicated efforts of its team, expressing gratitude to Minister Al-Mutairi for his continuous support of the tourism and media sectors and for empowering national initiatives that enrich Kuwait’s cultural, civilizational, and tourism landscape.(KUNA)
