DAMASCUS, May 4: In a shocking incident in Damascus, Syria, young men and women at the popular "Layali Al-Sharq" nightclub were violently assaulted during a raid by armed individuals. Surveillance footage, which quickly circulated on social media, shows the attackers, believed to be affiliated with the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), using rifle butts to assault the patrons, creating widespread panic. The assault has raised serious concerns over the safety of civilians in the capital and the enforcement of law and order in the area.
