KUWAIT CITY, Jun 22: Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya confirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is "continuously monitoring the situation in Lebanon through the operations room with the relevant authorities, including the Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut and Kuwait Airways. This is to account for the number of Kuwaiti citizens and ensure a quick evacuation plan if necessary."

Al-Yahya mentioned that there is coordination with Gulf countries regarding this issue, emphasizing that these precautionary measures are in response to ongoing security developments.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Kuwaiti citizens in Lebanon without urgent business to leave immediately. Those unable to leave should contact the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon via the emergency phone number: 0096171171441.

The Ministry also reiterated its advice for all citizens to avoid traveling to Lebanon due to the current security situation.

In a related move, Kuwait Airways announced yesterday that it is increasing the size of its aircraft flying to Beirut to accommodate more passengers wishing to return to Kuwait.
