KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei on Wednesday underscored the critical need to update curricula at all educational levels to align with global quality standards, aiming to foster students’ creativity, skills, and critical thinking.
Speaking at an expanded meeting with male and female teachers from various educational levels at the Kuwait Teachers Association, Al-Tabtabaei highlighted the importance of balancing the academic calendar to protect students’ interests while ensuring the stability of the educational process.
He also reviewed supervisory roles and selection mechanisms designed to uphold justice, transparency, and equal opportunities for qualified educators. The minister emphasized that education development is a collective responsibility requiring cooperation from all stakeholders and reiterated that the ministry remains open to hearing educators’ opinions and suggestions, recognizing their dedicated efforts in their noble mission.
Al-Tabtabaei said the meeting reflects his commitment to direct communication with those in the educational field, allowing them to share observations and feedback on the educational process.
Addressing questions and requests from teachers concerning improvements to the work environment and enhanced support for educational and administrative staff, the minister assured that their needs are a top priority, as they form the foundation of the education system’s success.
Teachers welcomed the minister’s engagement, noting that such meetings foster a spirit of belonging and shared responsibility and contribute to advancing education and improving outcomes in line with Kuwait’s vision to raise the quality of education.
