United Goans Centre sink Sparx, KGA maintain lead – Kerala Challengers hand Skynet Miracles FC another misery

KUWAIT CIRT, Oct 25: United Goans Centre finally got themselves on the points table with an exciting 3-2 victory over FC Sparx, while the new season’s woes continued for Skynet Miracles FC when they lost to Kerala Challengers 2-1 in the  J. P. D’Mello Rolling Trophy, KIFF League organized by Kuwait Indian Football Federation and powered by Gulf Cable & Electricals Co.

All matches were played at Al Bayan Ground on 21st October 2016.  In other matches, Soccer Kerala edged Indian Strikers 1-0 and Kuwait Goan Association stayed on top of the table with a 1-0 victory over Santos United.

In the first match of the day, Kuwait Goan Association beat Santos United 1-0, thanks to a beautiful goal scored by man of the match Sanu. Man of the match award was presented to Sanu by Augosto a long time die hard soccer enthusiast.

The center referee was Edward and he was supported by Sameer and Rafiq on the lines.

In the second match Soccer Kerala continued their fine form to edge Indian Strikers 1-0 in an evenly fought contest between both Kerala teams.  Soccer Kerala strengthened with the return of their dynamic midfield maestro Prince from injury have now moved to second position on the points table.

Prince who scored the only goal of the match was declared man of the match and received his award from Michael D’Silva, ex-footballer with United Friends and a supporter of KIFF activities.  The game was officiated by Jerry and he was assisted by Shaji and Nameer on the lines

Skynet Miracles FC missing their star striker Ben had another bad day on the field going down to Kerala Challengers 1-2 in a keenly fought contest.

Biju and Jaris were on target for Kerala Challengers while Anasameen scored the only goal for Skynet Miracles. Referee Victor was assisted on the lines by Rosario and Rafi.

Man of the match was the hard working Biju of Kerala Challengers and he received the award from Michael Pereira.

In the last and easily the best match of the day, one of the oldest club in the league United Goans Centre finally got themselves on the points table when they edged FC Sparx 3-2 in an exciting game.  Irshad was the hero for United Goans Centre scoring two while Xavier scored one.  Hisham scored for FC Sparx and the other was an own goal.

 Irshad was awarded the man of the match and he received the award from Mr Lester.

The Centre referee was Alidio and he was supported by Saji and Rosario on the lines.
