KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: The General Department for Drug Control has referred two military personnel from a criminal investigation department to the Public Prosecution for possession and use of narcotics. This action underscores the principle that no one is above the law and that it must be enforced impartially. According to a security source, a tip-off led to the arrest of a military officer from one of the investigation offices, who was found with narcotics after a parliamentary permit was secured. During interrogation, the officer revealed the involvement of a colleague from another investigation office, who was subsequently arrested in the Hawalli Governorate, where narcotics were also discovered in his possession.
