Two Kuwaiti Diplomats robbed in South Africa

KUWAIT CITY, May 28: Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Al-Jarallah was recently quoted as saying two Kuwaiti diplomats in Pretoria, South Africa were robbed at gunpoint by a gang of thieves, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the incident happened when the diplomats were riding in their private car. The members of the gang reportedly intercepted their vehicle and stole their money and other valuables. Al-Jarallah confirmed it was a case of theft and that both officials were not harmed.

Two citizens nabbed: Two Kuwaiti citizens, one of who is involved in a financial case, were arrested in possession of drugs in Maidan Hawally area. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Maidan Hawally area based on instructions of Hawally Security Director Major General Abidine Al-Abidine when they came across a vehicle with two occupants. Based on suspicions, they ordered the driver to pull over and checked the details of the two individuals to discover they are Kuwaiti citizens and one of them is involved in a financial case. They checked the vehicle and found drugs.
