KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: The Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti tweeter who fled to London to escape punishment, to three years imprisonment with hard labor on a state security charge of insulting state symbols on his social media sites, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Public Prosecution had earlier charged the man with publicly challenging the rights and authority of the Amir by publishing statements on his Twitter account and intentionally misusing his mobile phone to spread false news.
