KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Turkish media reported that an explosion occurred in the Turkish capital, Ankara, near the parliament and ministries this morning, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The media quoting sources pointed out that “the explosion was heard near Kizilay Square in Ankara at around nine-thirty in the morning, noting that large numbers of police forces and ambulance personnel headed to the area.”

For his part, the Turkish Interior Minister confirmed that the Ankara explosion was a “terrorist attack,” adding, “Two terrorists attempted to attack the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior with bombs, and one of them blew himself up and the other was neutralized.”
