KUWAIT CITY, July 25: The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has confirmed that all travelers whose flights and reservations were canceled due to the closure of the Kuwait International Airport to prevent the spread of Corona pandemic ‘COVID-19’ have the right to recover the full value of travel tickets, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a circular to all airlines, travel and tourism agencies operating in the country, the DGCA said the rights of travelers must be protected, explaining that “the traveler has the right to request the return of the value in full of travel tickets, hotel reservations and other tourism services that were canceled from March 14 to July 31 this year, regardless of reservation conditions.

The sources added, “The traveler has the right to request a refund in cash or by credit, or in the form of balance that should be made available to him for a period of one year from the date of this circular, according to the traveler’s will.”
