KUWAIT CITY, May 17: The Ministry of Justice has announced the activation of a new remote travel ban service through the Sahel application, enabling creditors to request travel restrictions on debtors directly through the platform.
According to an official communication from the Ministry to the General Directorate of Enforcement, the service is available free of charge starting from May 14. The rollout follows the procedures outlined in a document approved by the Ministry's Undersecretary.
Sources familiar with the matter explained that the new service allows a creditor, after obtaining a court ruling and opening an enforcement file, to request a travel ban against the debtor through the Sahel app. The initiative aims to streamline enforcement processes and enhance accessibility for users.
