KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: A young man arrested on Jaber Causeway for a traffic violation was found to be wanted by the Drug Control General Department for (DCGD). According to security sources, officers patrolling Jaber Causeway stopped a person for a traffic violation. Upon checking his records, they found that he was wanted by DCGD. He was immediately handed over to the relevant authorities.
The sources affirmed that security personnel continue their round-the-clock efforts on Jaber Causeway to apprehend wanted individuals and lawbreakers. Meanwhile, the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) arrested four individuals in two separate cases, and seized large amounts of narcotics and psychotropic substances, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Interior explained that in the first case, the department dismantled a drug trafficking network operating in Saad Al-Abdullah, Abdullah Al- Mubarak, and Hawally. Three individuals were arrested inside the country, including two Kuwaiti military personnel from the Ministry of Interior and one Bedoun resident. The network is reportedly run by a Bedoun man residing in the United Kingdom.
