KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah directed to implement comprehensive traffic preparations with great care and accuracy to protect our male and female students with traffic patrols on all main and secondary roads and intersections to control anyone who tries to violate traffic rules and laws and reduce traffic jams.

This came in a press statement by the General Department of Relations and Security Media at the Ministry of Interior on Sunday, during Sheikh Talal Khaled’s visit to the central control room and operations room in the General Traffic Department in the South Sabahiya region to follow up traffic with the start of the new school year for all school levels. At the beginning of the visit, Sheikh Talal Khaled conveyed to the leaders of the traffic sector, officers and members the greetings of the country’s supreme political leadership, then he was briefed on the efforts of the Ministry of Interior agencies in preparation for the new school year and the follow-up to the implementation of the comprehensive security and traffic measures prepared by the security establishment in this regard.

He then listened to a briefing about the central control system and traffic control of traffic lights through the central control room, the traffic control system through surveillance cameras, the traffic counting system for the volume of traffic on roads and intersections, and the mechanism for receiving traffic complaints through the traffic complaints phone and the mechanism for dealing with them. Upon his arrival at the central control room and operations room at the General Traffic Department, he was received by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant-General Anwar Al-Barjas, Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic and Operations Major General Jamal Al- Sayegh and a number of leaders of the traffic and operations sector to follow up the traffic with the start of the new school year for all academic levels.
