KUWAIT CITY, March 12: The Criminal Court ordered the referral of an officer of rank Lieutenant Colonel in Hawally Traffic Department and two other employees to the Central Prison after convicting them of transferring the ownership of a vehicle without the actual owner’s permission.

According to the case file, a person went to the Hawally Traffic Department based on instructions from some individuals who were trusted by the head of the department. He submitted a request to transfer a vehicle from a particular individual’s name to his name under the illusion that the vehicle owner’s approval was obtained to carry out the transaction without his presence. Since this person was trusted by the Lieutenant Colonel officer, the latter signed a “no objection” transaction and referred it to the other employees, who then carried out the procedures for transferring the vehicle’s ownership.
