KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: A corporal officer working in the General Traffic Department has been admitted to the intensive care unit of Jaber Hospital after he was hit by a Kuwaiti citizen riding a motorcycle on the Sixth Ring Road opposite South Surra. According to an informed security source, when the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report about a traffic officer being run over on the Sixth Ring Road opposite the South Surra area, security personnel, and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the location. Preliminary investigations revealed that the officer had stopped a motorcycle driver to issue a ticket against him, but the latter, in an attempt to escape, ran over the traffic policeman. As a result, he was seriously injured. He was taken to Jaber Hospital where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.
