KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: Personnel from the General Traffic Department and the Rescue Police Department have recorded 26,430 traffic violations, arrested 46 violators, and referred 10 people to the Directorate-General for Drugs Control, reports Al-Rai daily.
The GTD stated in statistics that over four days from September 30, 2023 to October 3 of this year, during the traffic campaigns, 49 vehicles and 11 motorbikes were impounded by the traffic police, and 11 wanted persons were arrested in connection with several cases.
The sources also added, that 9 violators whose residency had expired were arrested, two people were in an abnormal condition, five people without any proof were detained, and an accused was referred to the General Administration for Drug Control and referred a juvenile to the Juvenile Prosecution.
